  • This week in The Australian Financial Review, our CEO Ash Sachdev shares his perspective on sleep as a leadership advantage - and it’s a powerful reminder that great sleep isn’t just an executive hack. It’s a human one. Because whether you’re running a company or running after a toddler, the truth is the same; you simply can’t perform at your best when you’re exhausted. Parents know this better than anyone. The 3am wake‑ups. The mental load. The constant switching between roles. It’s the same cognitive strain executives talk about, except parents field their “urgent requests” from small humans who don’t book meetings, they just appear. Ash makes an important point; sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation for good decisions, emotional regulation, resilience, and clarity - at work and at home. And that’s exactly why the work we do at Care for Kids matters so much to us. While we can’t fix the 3am wake‑ups (and with 83% of parents of under‑fives feeling sleep‑deprived each week, there are a lot of them), we can make the search for the right childcare easier, clearer, and far less stressful. Because when families can access trusted, high‑quality childcare, parents get the breathing room they need to show up fully - as leaders, colleagues, partners, and humans. Better sleep isn’t just good for executives. It’s good for parents. It’s good for workplaces. It’s good for Australia. You can read the full AFR piece here: https://lnkd.in/gB7PhUwj

  • We're thrilled to announce our new partnership with the team at Mortgage Choice to support families to make confident financial decisions. Just as Care for Kids helps families navigate the world of childcare, Mortgage Choice simplifies the equally complex journey of finding the right home loan. We know that starting or growing a family brings up some big financial questions, and together, we want to help provide the answers. We've collaborated on a content series designed to support parents through these significant life stages and tackle common but tricky topics such as "can you even get a home loan when you're on parental leave?"

  • We had the pleasure of attending the CBRE Healthcare and Social Infrastructure event on Tuesday, where industry leaders came together to explore the economic climate and evolving landscape of healthcare and social infrastructure in Australia. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and hear from some experts in their respective fields, including Mark Bouris AM and Claire Thurwood from Ramsay Health Care. Their perspectives on the future of investment, healthcare delivery, and innovation were incredibly valuable. One key takeaway was the growing trend of dual workforce participation and how it is set to shape the way we think about service models, along with how this plays a role in the childcare sector. 👏 A big thank you to CBRE in particular Edwina Blake and to our partners who joined us on the day; Choklits Child Care, Little Lane Early Learning Centre, Story House Early Learning, and Woodlands Childcare and Education.
